From The Designer bricks_fan_uy:

The author says “Since the beginning of this Viking series I knew I wanted to do a pagan temple of some sort. The real drive appeared for me when I stumbled upon an article about a recent Norse God House finding that had a graphic representation of how it would have looked like. It also said:
“The Norse began building these large “god houses,” as they’re called, in the sixth century. The god houses were much more complex than the simple sites, often outdoors, that the people previously used to worship the Old Norse gods.”
Despite of being a real simple build at it’s core, i wanted it to be different from the others in the series, it’s a temple for the gods after all. A few elements like the plain black roof, plank walls, stone foundation and the decorations of the doors and roof I believe set this one apart from the others.
The big Odin statue inside took more effort to build than anything else tbh, I was gonna use 2 black parrot pieces for Hugin and Munin but found out they were like 20 USD a piece so I had to mod the whole thing to use the raven plumes, which are dear pieces but not that much.
