MOC-71810 Messerschmitt Bf 109

The instructions definitely took some knowledge how to build in Lego or let-bricks. The instructions also had a a red outline on where to connect the the bricks to the bigger part of the build.

The only downside was the sorting wasn’t the best and the and the marking of the internal structuring in green bricks made it harder to sort.

Also on the note of sorting there had some missing pieces such as the German insignia and the propellers.
They also missed the mini-figure 😭.

The build itself wasn’t the strongest in the tail section so be prepared to use real Lego or more let-bricks to make the tail structurally sound but the front was very wrong also the wheels are accurate strength wise to the real plane because they caused about sixty percent of all the crashes of the bf 109 during wwII. It also didn’t have folding landing gear until 1944 from my research this was because they didn’t have the materials to do that in Germany at the time until 1944 this could be wrong but this is what my tease arch told me. Most of the bf 109 in ww2 where built by slave labor in concentration camps but that helped it become number one in the amount built compared to any other plane total number built was about anywhere from 34000 to 50000.

The overall build was great fun. it took me about four hours to sort and build which is a long time for about 500 pieces.

Like I said the sorting and missing pieces was the reason for the 3 stars, but you should also take into consideration the 2 week shipping time which is great shipping time, but also the structurally sound tail needs more work.

The quality of the bricks felt a little brittle, but I think that’s because they are made in abs plastic which was clearly stated on the website let-bricks.This is important because if you mess up you can’t easily take the bricks apart which might actually be a good thing because you get to keep the MOC (my on creation) together.
