Background Introduction
The H145 has two engines, each managed by a dual full power digital engine control system, as well as an upgraded main rotor and tail rotor system for superior performance. This ensures an unprecedented level of performance in all engine running operations and a significant power reserve when one engine is not running.
The H145 is the only rotorcraft in the family capable of taking off and landing at 20,000 feet, an achievement that was confirmed in September 2019 when it flew over Aconcagua Mountain (22,840 feet) in the Andes, where the H145 demonstrated its unmatched high – altitude power reserve.
The reliability of the twin engines is complemented by a fully independent fuel supply system, duplex hydraulic system, dual electrical system and redundant lubrication of the main transmission. In addition, a key safety aspect of the H145 is its inherent crashworthiness, including the energy – absorbing body and seats and crash – resistant fuel cells.
The H145 is also equipped with a wireless onboard communication server, and features the latest technologies such as an advanced cockpit design, the most modern human machine interface (HMI), the most advanced avionics suite and anti – torque device as the tail rotor.
In addition, the H145 has the following features:
High flight stability and accuracy
Unique flight envelope
Over – limit protection
Automatic takeoff
Fully coupled hover method
All in all, this is a highly capable aircraft.
