Contents: Designed and authorized by Germanrailwaybuilder, the small locomotives of Power Group II were developed as small locomotives – with low mass and low motive power – for light shunting duties. After testing a number of experimental locomotives, they were put into service with the Deutsche Reichsbahn starting in 1932 and used in small stations for light shunting and switching service.
