AH-64 APACHE:
The AH-64 is an all-weather two-seat attack helicopter powered by two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines mounted on either side of the rotating shaft. The seats are one front and one back, with the pilot behind and above, and the co-pilot and gun sight in front. The armor on the driver’s seat can withstand fire from the Russian ZSU-23 gun and protect the crew in the event of a crash. The fixed arm is a nose-mounted 30MM M230 chain gun. There are four weapon hardpoints on the short wings on either side, capable of carrying a mix of AGM-114 Hellfire and Hydra-70 rockets. The AH-64 has replaced the AH-1 Cobra helicopter as the main attack helicopter of the U.S. military.
