Good train

It's a beautiful train and perfect for steam trains fans like me, and it's a very good design.But unfortunately, this trais is extremly fragile and can break when you tries tou move it.It hardly ever work with a motor and the motor move out of place almost every time.It's perfect to look at it,but you cant run it correctly.It's sad becaus this model is beautiful.

Cool detail but this thing will never be a motorized train

This thing looks amazing, if you are a fan of the old steam engines, and especially if you are a nut about BTTF3 and the cool steam engine in that, this thing is great. BUT!! There were several different engineering issues with how the gears and motor and wheels and piston bogie thing are all setup. I was able to see the issue and essentially solve those issues by modifying things as I saw fit. But besides the flaw that it is too long, and I had to do my own redesign without using the extra front of wheels that allow for steering (they would derail every time you came to a curve because the overall engine was just too long) but the most fatal flaw is how top heavy it is. Even once I solved all of the engineering issues by doing my own custom rework, it is just so top heavy, you either can barely crawl along, or derail as soon as you hit any curve with the tiniest amount of throttle. So, I gave it only 3 stars because this thing is great for a display only. I wanted to run it on my tracks AND display it, that would have been 5 star in my book. But there is no way this thing will ever run on tracks with how top heavy it is, the center of gravity is too high with the larger wheels. I even tried the smaller wheels too and still it tips over. That part made me a bit sad. Thus 3 stars.
