We often get messages asking: “What should I do if my Letbricks creations collect dust?”, “How do I clean them?”, “Cleaning is such a hassle!”
Don’t worry!
This guide is your go-to solution for tackling dust on your Letbricks models—whether it’s light dust or stubborn buildup, we’ve got all the steps you need to get your models looking pristine again!
Let’s face it—dust is no match for any Letbricks enthusiast!
STEP 1: Feather Duster + Detail Brush
You might be surprised to see a feather duster as the first suggestion, but trust us—it’s incredibly effective!
For larger dust areas, a feather duster is unbeatable. It can easily sweep away dust from both large and small Letbricks pieces (perfect for general dust accumulation).

However, for those more intricate parts like detailed figures or small mechanical gaps, a soft-bristled detail brush is your best friend. It gently sweeps away dust from every nook and cranny, ensuring no detail is left behind!
✔ Recommended for:
- Large dust areas → A quick sweep with the feather duster will do the trick.
- Delicate details → Use a soft brush for precise cleaning.

STEP 2: Portable Handheld Vacuum
If the feather duster doesn’t fully do the job, it’s time to bring in a handheld vacuum!
Many model stores use small vacuum cleaners, especially those with narrow nozzles, to reach deep between bricks and clean up dust thoroughly. This works wonders on more detailed models and intricate gaps.
Be careful while using the vacuum—avoid sucking up any loose pieces. It’s best to stabilize the model with one hand while operating the vacuum with the other.
✔ Recommended for:
- Dust buildup that needs a deeper clean.
- Models or display pieces that haven’t been cleaned in a while.

STEP 3: The Slime Trick!
Slime (or cleaning gel) is a fantastic cleaning solution for your Letbricks models. Simply press the gel onto your pieces, and it’ll pick up dust and dirt from the gaps and grooves. This method is particularly useful for models with uneven or textured surfaces.
✔ Recommended for:
- Sturdy models (like large buildings or baseplates). ❌ Not recommended for: Loose or fragile pieces that may fall apart under pressure.

STEP 4: Water Flossing Tool
Here’s a fun one—did you know that a water flosser can work wonders on your Letbricks creations?
The fine, steady water stream is perfect for removing stubborn dust from hard-to-reach places, such as:
- Mechanical components and tight crevices
- Vehicle wheels and tracks
- Detailed areas like windows and fences on architectural models
✔ Recommended for:
- Stubborn dust that the brush or vacuum can’t handle.
- Models that can handle a little water pressure.

STEP 5: Shower + Blow Dryer
If your Letbricks creations have accumulated dust for a long time and basic tools aren’t enough, it might be time for a luxury cleaning session!
🔹 Pressure Sprayer/Watering Can: Ideal for small-scale cleaning and gentle dust removal.
🔹 Shower: Great for cleaning larger sets (best for disassembled pieces).
🔹 Blow Dryer (Cool Air): After washing, use a blow dryer on a cool setting to dry the pieces quickly, preventing water stains from forming.
⚠ Important Reminders:
- Avoid hot water! High temperatures can warp the pieces.
- Don’t soak for too long! Extended water exposure can damage internal connectors.
- Make sure to dry thoroughly! Never leave your pieces to air dry under direct sunlight.
Caution with Dishwashers & Washing Machines: Only use at temperatures below 40°C to avoid damaging your Letbricks models.
