This ship has a classic design that derives from the historic Cunard’s ships like the Lusitania and Aquitania, but she’s bigger and faster, and she has an innovative cruise stern.
The Queen Mary also served as troopship during the World War II; during a transatlantic crossing in 1943 she carried 16.683 persons on board, a standing record for the most passengers ever transported in one single trip on a vessel!
