Built and inaugurated in the 80s, the original WFC complex includes four buildings designed by architect Pelli in a postmodern style, and it is a landmark of the NYC skyline; between two of the buildings is located the Winter Garden Atrium, a glass-vaulted pavilion which houses many plants, trees, flowers and some shops.
This MOC is a 1:1000 scale replica of the World Financial Center original complex, designed in a Architecture style that recreate in detail the architectural aspect of these skyscrapers, and it is at the same scale of the “World Trade Center (1973-2001)” MOC that I made some weeks ago, and it is also the same scale of the 21046 “Empire State Building”; so if you want to collect the most important buildings of New York City, you can’t miss this!
The building instructions of this model are two PDF guides (Part 1 has 153 pages, Part 2 has 160 pages), the total size of the two files is 125 MB. Part 1 also includes a two-page presentation about the World Financial Center history and design.
